A successful company based in Somerset is looking for a Credit Controller to join their friendly Finance team. 

Role: Credit Controller 
Location: Yeovil
Salary: £25k p.a.
 

Yor will take responsibility for this Group's available credit and credit potential while focusing on specific debts and their recovery process. More specifically you will be...

  • Checking clients' credit and payment approval processes

  • Managing credit limits and following up with Clients regarding payments

  • Providing credit reports to the Financial Director on a bi-weekly basis

  • Negotiating payment plans and setting up terms and conditions

  • Ensuring customers pay on time and charge them for overdue invoices

  • Initiating legal proceedings if necessary

  • Maintaining accurate records and reports

The main KPI in this Credit Control role will be debtor days and the resolution of repeat issues to reduce credit notes. 

We are looking for the following skills and experience:

  • Numerically and analytically sound individual with strong attention to detail

  • Excellent Customer service abilities and experience 

  • Strong Excel skills 

  • Demonstrable experience within a busy finance team - ideally within an Accounts Payable function

  • Ideally a relevant Finance Qualification (you can be part-qualified) 

You'll also need to be a self-starter who is approachable and customer focussed.
