We are delighted to be partnering with a successful organisation in their search for a Credit Controller. Responsibilities

You will take responsibility for this Group's available credit and credit potential while focusing on specific debts and their recovery process. More specifically you will be...

  • Checking clients' credit and payment approval processes (creating policy schedules and endorsements)

  • Managing credit limits and following up with Clients regarding payments

  • Providing credit reports to the Financial Director on a bi-weekly basis

  • Negotiating payment plans and setting up terms and conditions

  • Ensuring customers pay on time and charge them for overdue invoices

  • Initiating legal proceedings if necessary

  • Maintaining accurate records and reports

  • Inter-departmental liaison to ensure the smooth running of individual accounts

  • General enquires to be dealt with through telephone, email, or letter

The main KPI in this Credit Control role will be debtor days and the resolution of repeat issues to reduce credit notes. 

We are looking for the following skills and experience:

  • Numerically and analytically sound individual with strong attention to detail

  • Excellent Customer service abilities and experience 

  • Strong Excel skills 

  • Demonstrable experience within a busy finance team - ideally within an Accounts Payable function

  • Ideally a relevant Finance Qualification (you can be part-qualified)

Salary is around £25k p.a. depending upon experience.. You can expect 23 days holiday plus bank holidays and an opportunity to progress and a natural career path into more senior roles when you excel in this position. 

We believe this Credit Controller role is commutable from many parts of Somerset including Yeovil, Sherborne, Chard, Warminster, Glastonbury and Shepton Mallet.
