Technical Architecture / Digital Services / ICT Transformation
Working with an outstanding public sector organisation committed to the betterment of communities throughout the Midlands, this role would require an experienced ICT Technical Architect to design, deliver and implement a cutting-edge digital strategy into the organisation. They are investing heavily in this ICT transformation project, with technology at the forefront of their future plans.
Within this exceptional new opportunity with our customer, the ICT Technical Architect will be responsible for the following:
*develop technical models and plans that identify opportunities for leveraging technology capability to benefit the organisation, in support of strategic business change initiatives and subsequent projects / programmes.
*have central responsibility for the design and delivery of the organisation's technical IT architecture across a large-scale estate, impacting tens of thousands of users.
*best practice will be key, so you will ensure that the highest industry standards are consistently maintained, as well as upholding the highest quality of documentation.
*the introduction of ground-breaking emerging technologies will be paramount, so you will ensure that an environment of continuous improvement and innovation is upheld in respect to core ICT architecture.
*you will not only be involved in technical responsibilities, but you will also have a leadership influence, operating strategically alongside key internal stakeholders and external parties.
*in addition to the technical aspects, there will be people management responsibilities and you will help to mentor, guide and inspire the wider IT function around you, as the organisation benefits from the impact of your team's work.
We anticipate that the successful candidate for this exciting new opportunity will have the following skills, knowledge and experience:
*a strong level of experience of Technical Architecture within large and complex ICT environments.
*extensive experience of the design and delivery of core infrastructure from an architectural perspective, including server, networking, database and telephony technologies.
*have seniority and the hands-on technical expertise to drive a leading solution from design through to delivery.
*you will ideally have industry-level framework qualifications within the IT Architecture space, such as TOGAF.
*it would be preferable for you to have a strong level of ITIL experience.
In addition to the starting salary of up to £66,500 per annum, this opportunity would also offer a generous benefits package.
