Working within a small, in-house IT support team, you'll be providing complex solutions to IT problems and thrive on helping people achieve their goals and making sure you support the IT needs of this friendly organisation. Above all, we’re looking for a eam-oriented, highly motivated professional with a background in IT and interest in Web Development.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with solid First or second-line IT or Support experience to develop a long-term career with a friendly Company as an IT Technician or Helpdesk Assistant.         Role: IT Technician (you might be an IT Helpdesk Assistant, IT Helpdesk analyst or in an IT Support role)
        Location: South Devon - near Torquay
        Salary: £24k-£28k p.a. (depending upon skills and experience) plus Bonus and Benefits
        Job Type: Full Time/Permanent. 

You will have good technical IT knowledge and be able to communicate effectively to understand the problem and explain its solution. 

What you would be doing...
 

  • Answering calls and emails from members of staff and providing initial guidance

  • Logging all issues raised and providing end users updates on their support issues

  • Work with an in-house software development team; creating and supporting IT Solutions

  • Work with 3rd party suppliers on more complex problems before escalating to the IT Manager.

  • Administering and creating users with Active Directory

  • Maintain IT team documentation in coordination with the IT Manager

  • Conducting regular morning checks on essential office IT equipment including meeting rooms and AV kit.

  • Maintaining front line office IT equipment – laptops, desktops, thin clients, printers etc

  • Phone system support

  • User inductions and training on Microsoft and 3rd party products


What we are looking for...

  • At least six months of commercial experience in support on Microsoft platforms (experience of supporting users within a corporate network)

  • Experience of web technologies and principles

  • Experience of Microsoft Windows operating system, MS Office suite and MS 365 services

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with staff at all levels of the business

  • Experience of or exposure to...

    • Responsive Web Design 

    • Web Development - Front and/or back end Web Development

    • Professional certification (Microsoft, ITIL etc)
