*Our customer is based in Cardiff.  Whilst this can be a remote-based role primarily,  we anticipate that your new employer would aim for you to work in the office for one day per week.

Working within a highly ambitious and friendly team and environment,  this opportunity is a critical position for our customer's business and you would join our customer's major ongoing Data Transformation project.  You will support the data maintenance and will fulfil reporting requirements for the organisation - you will help the business push forward with their ambitious projects,  working on a variety of projects and upskilling / training in new technologies as required.  If this sounds like it might be your future employer,  then we think that you'll be tasked with carrying out a variety of tasks and activities,  gaining exposure to working on a broad range of projects. 

To make your working week as enjoyable and productive as possible, it’d be great to find someone with an enormous passion for MI / BI / Data Analysis,  being comfortable and experienced with some of the following:
*ensuring all database maintenance and reporting jobs are complete successfully.
*developing SQL reports using T-SQL.
*creating, editing, and deploying SSIS packages.
*creating Power BI data models and build reports.​
*carrying out log checking and diagnose issues.
*being fully familiar with SSRS.
*carrying out advanced MS Excel manipulation when required.
*ensuring that all reports are delivered on a timely manner,  with an emphasis on quality of such reports.
*championing the concept of making data driven decisions.
*working with varying datasets from various sources such as MySQL,  MSSQL and Mongo DB.
*supporting virtual estate,  back-end systems and services to the business.
*carrying out basic maintenance on reporting servers (as appropriate).
*looking for ways to improve / enhance reporting wherever possible.
*assisting / leading on projects as required.

Experience of working with some of the following technologies could also be advantageous:
*working within the Insurance / Finance industry;  big data;  Power BI;  VBA;  PowerShell;  C#;  Advanced MS Excel capabilities;  Crystal Reporting;  Business Objects;  Trello;  Azure Dev Ops.
