*Our customer is based in Cardiff and currently operates a hybrid working solution, with their team members working from the office 1-2 day per week.  We'd be happy to consider a variety of solutions for this opportunity and so would be keen to hear what might work well for you.

Your future employer seeks an experienced Node / Javascript Software Developer with a passion for delivering top quality products and solutions, with a time-efficient and can-do approach.  Within this position,  you'd become part of a small newly-formed team who will report directly to the IT Director,  working on the development of projects and products within a different technical stack for the business.

We believe that some of the key duties for which the Node / Javascript Software Developer would be responsible would be to:
*contribute to the development of specifications for both new and replacement systems.
*assist with new project and product development.
*learn existing systems and work towards locating and resolving issues.

*ensure the application of secure development techniques.
*provide product and process improvement feedback and suggestions.
*peer-review colleagues’ code, as and when required.
*work cooperatively as part of a team, within their architectural, operational, technical and business frameworks.
*ensure all changes comply with our quality standards.

We believe that to be successful in this Node / Javascript Software Developer opportunity, you will have some of the following skills and experience:
*the ability to analyse a variety of situations with pragmatism.
*have integrity, adaptability, enthusiasm and take ownership of tasks.
*have a proven Software Development track record covering the full lifecycle.
*have strong experience of working with Node, Javascript, HTML5, CSS, MSSQL or MySQL and XML.

*have excellent experience of working on Web Applications.
*have experience of having worked with Microservices in a hosted environment.
*be able to use Version Control Systems, such as Git & Subversion.
*have familiarity with Agile development processes, including tools such as Azure DevOps or similar.
*be a customer-focused, collaborative team player, with excellent written and verbal communication.
*have a genuine love and passion for IT.

Any of the following could also prove useful when joining the team:

*have a degree in a Computing / Technical discipline, or commensurate technical experience.
*have some experience or knowledge of Financial Services.
*have experience with other development environments such as C# or ASP.NET.
*have experience of Azure, or a similar Cloud platforms such as AWS.
