A Middleweight or Senior level Front End Web Developer (Salary c£28-£32k p.a.) is sought by a stable creative agency in a wonderful South-Devon location. You will have skills in responsive CSS, HTML and JavaScript development ideally in combination with a good understanding of Design and UX principals. Creative or Digital Agency experience will help - as would a solid knowledge of WordPress, eCommerce platforms and CMS systems at a bespoke level.
Role: Front End Web Developer
Location: Exeter
Salary: £28-32k p.a. plus a fantastic benefits list incl remote working, Christmas shut-down and training
Duration: 12 months initially - very strong probability of a permanent role.
Although this is not a design role, you will be working alongside designers and your responsibilities will be to use the Adobe Creative Suite to turn designs into high-quality, pixel-perfect, responsive websites. A good 'eye for detail' and a desire for the highest standards are essential. Some experience with WordPress and eCommerce platforms (ideally Shopify) will help.
You must have a strong, demonstrable understanding of up-to-date front-end development skills including:
- Building pixel-perfect, responsive websites
- CSS and responsive frameworks such as Bootstrap
- HTML5
- JavaScript/jQuery
- PHP (preferred)
We also seek someone who can demonstrate a real enthusiasm for code and constantly exploring new ways of doing things, demonstrating high standards and an eye for detail. We also seek an ability to work equally well on your own and as part of a team.
