Due to our customer's ongoing successes and growth, we are currently searching for an experienced and enthusiastic Senior NodeJS Developer to join their expanding team. Working as part of a Developer Advocacy team within our customer, we're looking for an experienced NodeJS Developer in Manchester. The Developer Advocacy team creates interesting developer-focused content, tutorials, frameworks and third-party integrations to expand our customer's ecosystem. Our customer tackles new and exciting challenges on a daily basis, seeking to empower Developers to build responsive and flexible cloud, mobile and edge computing applications that scale effortlessly. Our customer delivers unmatched versatility, performance, scalability and financial value across cloud, on premises, hybrid, distributed cloud and edge commuting deployments.
For this exceptional opportunity, we'd love the opportunity to speak with passionate Developers with some of the following experience and knowledge:
*a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent practical / commercial experience).
*strong experience of developing full-stack applications in NodeJS (React, Svelte, Express, Gatsby.js, etc) and a comprehensive understanding of modern full-stack web application development.
*comfortable working with AWS.
*solid back-end experience.
*understanding of programming and design patterns, with experience of working with modern frameworks for building web-based applications.
*terrific communication skills in English (writing, creating, presenting) and a love for interacting with and helping Developers.
*the ability to listen to the Developer community and effectively relay the stories and feedback to the business.
Other experience and knowledge which could prove valuable to the business would be:
*you're a community enthusiast and have made contributions to open-source projects.
*experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Neo4J, Cassandra, DynamoDb, Redis, and/or Memcached etc).
*experience with UX and front-end design.
*coding experience with other languages such as Java, .NET, Node, Ruby, Golang, Rust or PHP would be highly desirable.
We believe that the Senior Developer joining the team will be responsible for the following:
*collaborate with users in the internal Developer community and the open-source ecosystem of developer-oriented tools, frameworks and applications.
*help to integrate their solutions with third-party services.
*support and improve the Developer portal.
*identify trending technologies that could benefit our customer's ecosystem for the future.
